On the G1, there is one fuel line that comes out the top of the tank, and the other hole in the top is a vent.

I'm gonna have to try that setup I seem to be having weird problems with that vent line and could never figure out why I needed it

On clone conversions some put a return line because the pump will overflow the carb float, I don't recall any factory yamaha with that. It happens more with intake pulsed pumps, and the cart pump is larger than used on gokarts/lawnmowers and such that might also be a factor. I never figured it out my G9 has that vent but also has a vent in the gas cap. The G9 has a filter in the bottom of the tank and a hose off that instead of into the top.

Ya I have a vent in the cap to and how could it flood the float bowl does in not shut off the float when it's full of gas
