trying to pick between 2 carts for a build
hey guys i have found two carts for sale and just trying to figure out which would be the best buy. After reading Roady's sticky about the year and make they look like about the same cart. One is a 96 and one is a 97 A9601 480979 and A9736 601714 are the serial numbers. the 96 is in great shape with 05 batteries for around 800 with a cover and windshield and decent tires. the 97 looks good also but battery trays are corroded through and the cables and batteries are almost shot and it needs tires i think he wants 500 for that one. i have a 06 gas cart that i use for golf and would like to build an electric cart for hunting. Which one sounds like the better deal? the 97 felt like it had a little more power. Thanks

Re: trying to pick between 2 carts for a build
I know there will be several more questions about each...
What voltage are they? How old are batteries in 97? Series or Regen? From what I have learned on here, 05 batts are most likley on their last leg. Just letting you know what the guys who know what they are talking about will want to know. I am not one of those guys |

IMHO I would keep looking. I just picked up a 48v series cart in awesome condition, cables look great(even though I will be replacing them, pet peeve) battery tray was in great shape and all the batteries were good except one. Has a tinted windshield and I got it for $750.00.

Re: trying to pick between 2 carts for a build
I knew i forgot something. I had one similar a while back and it was 48 volt. i forgot to check these but i think both are 48 i'll have to check after work. As for the batteries in the 97 i couldn't find a year they were installed. but they were covered in corrosion, swollen and didn't look like they had much life. But i will try an find the numbers on them
