Default Do I need new batteries

I just finished restoring a 1993 Ezgo Marathon, debating on putting new batteries in it, the batteries that's in it look great, not swollen, charge fine, but when I checked full speed it was around 10-12mph, but I think it's closer to 10mph, I guess my question is, is this about the right speed, or is it too slow because the bateries need to be replaced, this is my 1st electric cart so I'm not familiar with the speed it should be running.

Better info on the batteries would help....what voltage are they charging to.......
what voltage do they recover from once run and parked for a bit without charging.....
what is the voltage of each battery after charging.......

Speed can be hindered by many things...such as my weight...just have to get the correct info.

I guess that's what I need to check on, because I'm not sure, I had a local golfcart repair shop check them out when I got the cart a few months ago, and he said they were fine, but another shop where I had the lift put on, said that on the side of the batteries they thought they read 2005, which tells me they are 7 yrs old, and I know you usually only get about 4-5 yrs out of a set of batteries, but he did say they looked extremely good, so I guess I need to do a little more checking.

Check and see which shop has a discharge machine, Have them test the batteries and post the brand, size, age, & test results here. (test results should include starting voltage, runtime, & lowest voltage recorded. Let them know this is the info you wish to have BEFORE they test.
