OK, got the plug and it is extremely close. Just a hair too big and I do mean hair. I could force it in but worried about destroying the threads. Going to take the drem and buzz the hole just a bit and it should be fine. Don't really like how they did the threads.. Screw ring is designed to be able to slide to where you want then turn it less than half a turn to tighten. They have one that snaps in and may buy one of those for one of the other carts to see if it works better. I'll snap some pics once I get it in the plate.

Part number was GY20126 from John Deere and was less than $12 with tax

Took a debiring tool and cleaned both sides of the hole. Little push and it slid right in like it was supposed to Now I just get to wire it.

Main use will be for a hand held spot light.. Has a 100 watt bulb that concerns me as that is like 8 amps.. worried about melting the plug. May drop it back to a 55 watt if it gets too hot.

ctd, thanks for the link. Does that plug fit in the hole from the factory plate or did you have to make one ?

And I don't regret the plug I bought, I had to go to the Deere dealer anyway and got a plug made by Marinco with the locking socket for $12 and no shipping. The labor part was three rotations each side with the tool and good to go. Oh and I already had the plate so no cost there either. Got pics but I have to find my usb cable :)
