Re: 2010 rxv
OK back to the golf cart with clothes on.
I notice a humming while running, at first I thought it was the motor but after reading the manual ( thanks for the munual again) I realized I am hearing the motor brake. Is this normal? It seems to act like a governor. Any thoughts? |

Yes it is normal i have ridden 3 different rxv's 2 08's and 1 09 and they all have the humming noise it is progressively louder the faster you go, and do check your hubs.

Re: 2010 rvx
I've never seen an RXV, but I used to work on and around AC motors fed by variable frequency drives (VFD), and they will always "scream", when fed "fake" AC.
One way to find the source of noises is to have someone else drive the cart and use a wooden or metal rod to touch various components while holding it close to your ear. If you do this while driving, hold your ear to the side, not the end, to avoid problems if your driver hits a bump or has to brake. |
