Default 1999 Dcs with a 600 amp alltrax flashing code

I have a 1999 ezgo Dcs eight passenger cart with an 600 amp alltrax and a d&d motor that just stopped going. Last weekend is was going real slow, no codes and at full throttle the led was orange, this weekend it will not move and is flashing six red LEDs, low voltage. I double checked everything, 38 volts to and from solenoid, cables are about a year old and 4 gauge, connections are all tight. I load tested the batteries, Trojan t105 plus, and they tested perfect. I put the controller and motor in about a year ago and it has been running great up until last weekend. I even fed it power from another cart to rule out low voltage and still nothing, the solenoid clicks but it will not move. I'm getting 24 volts from the chassis to positive battery, seems weird. Not too sure what else to check, I went to alltrax site and didn't come up with much. Any ideas?

If I am reading this right.....you have a ground somewhere, as you should not be getting anything between the chassis and the batteries or any part of the delivery system.

I'm not sure where DCX controllers senses the pack voltage for the low voltage alarm, but with Run/Tow in RUN the Keyswitch ON, the voltage on Pins 6, 9 & 10 should be the same as the pack voltage, or very close to it.

When the pedal is pushed just far enough to activate the solenoid, you should also read pack voltage on Pin-5 and the controller's B+ terminal.

If any of those voltages are low, down load the DCX in a DCS schematic from the Alltrax site and chase down the missing voltage.

Also, what is the Under Voltage slider set to?

-----------
Like Sir Nuke said, Shouldn't be any voltage between chassis and battery pack.

The power to pins 6, 9 and 10 have 38 volts, pin 5 has 38 volts with pedal depressed. I don't know what the under voltage slide is set to, I'll check that out later. The cart is in a campground and I don't have the cable to hook it to a laptop here. The 24 volts from frame to positive has me baffled, I pulled the fuses to all the lights and nothing changed. Thanks for the help!

My guess is a short in the motor to the case. But that's just a guess based upon running slow last week and not at all this week.

I think Scotty is on to something! I do remember the wires being a little warm after a short ride last weekend when it was going slow. I'm going to put the stock motor in and see what happens.

Keep us posted..... if all else fails cut the cart in half, that should reduce the loads.

I'll get the motor in next weekend, I didn't bring it with me this weekend. Last time I cut it in half it grew 5 ft. Lol!
