Re: Battery question
Reconditioned batteries are just old batteries charged up and checked out.
(hopefully draw-down tested?) I have used them - the result was half the investment and half the service. You need a reputable dealer who will extend a 60 day warranty so you can sort out the weakest replacement and return it if needed. Not a good way to go for the average user. But an economical answer for all the golf cart flippers.(craigslist buy & sellers) |

Shipping and taxes and all other costs have to be included in the total price. Some lucky souls have gotten free delivery on the batteries and Pick-up on the exchange cores. I had to pick my batteries up, but didn't have to provide exchange cores. Don't limit your search to battery stores and the like. I got a local tractor supply store (Rural King) to special order the Exides I have. Here is a list of batteries commonly used in golf carts. Sorted by AH ratings and then alphabetically by brand name for ties in AH ratings. If the battery you are considering isn't on the list, find one with the same AH rating and that is where is would rank. The list is over a year old and some makes/models have changed in AH ratings, so be sure to use the AH ratings of the specific batteries now on the market. |

If you want nice, clean, fresh oats you must pay a fair price. However, if you can be satisfied with oats that have already been through the horse, that comes a little cheaper... |

Re: Battery question
My initial plan is to just buy a replacement for the single dead 12v that's in there right now, I figure if the other 2 are able to hold a charge as he says, this is the smartest way to go, so I can at least make sure there are no real problems.

Re: Battery question
Unfortunately, the RC rating allows some wiggle room that the AH @ 20hr rate doesn't.
Batteries with AH ratings ranging from 208AH to 215AH have published RC ratings of 107 Minutes @ 75A, but it falls into economy grade battery category because it is less than 225AH. It costs less than a standard grade battery, but it wont have the run-time or the lifespan of a standard battery. Battery prices vary by geographical location, so to make a comparison of overall cost/year, the local price of other batteries would have to be known. |

Re: Battery question
Might want to borrow a battery from somewhere for a test.
Maybe from your wife's car? |
