Re: Can you recommend a good charger?
I'm partial to on-board chargers.

How do on-board chargers work? What's the price difference?

Re: Can you recommend a good charger?
1. Basically the same way as portable chargers work, except they are mounted someplace in/on the cart.
The advantage is always having a charger with you, so you only have to find an AC outlet to charge your batteries when you are away from home. The disadvantage is that the on-board charger takes up space in/on the cart that could be used for other things and you are always hauling the extra weight. 2. The DPI portable cost $285 and the Quick Charge on-board chargers start at $335 |

Re: Can you recommend a good charger?
An on-board charger can extend your range in certain situations. You can drive past your halfway point you would normally have to turn around to make it home. With on-board if there is power available at your destination you can charge while doing whatever there (i.e. fishing, party, whatever) then you will have a more charged pack for the return home.
I understand you can also do this by placing your portable garage charger in the bagwell but it isn't built to be bounced around all that much. There is a certain "cool factor' being able to charge off just an extension cord. |

Re: Can you recommend a good charger?
I actually have a 12v on board as well so I run both off the same plug. Really makes things super easy when 1 cord does everything.

Re: Can you recommend a good charger?
Alright, thanks for the advise. Now I need to decide which route I'm going to take. The on-board charger sounds great...just gotta find room for it under the seat. If that don't work, I'm gonna get a DPI.
