We are looking for a trailer
Just got a used ezgo 4 passenger. I live in Long Beach, Ca and need recommendations for a trailer, not too expensive.
What size should I get. it is 44" and 8"-9" long. not sure of weight or year? where is the serial number? thanks Bob |

Bob, CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |

Re: We are looking for a trailer
I have an EZGO 4 passenger PDS and picked up a used 5' x 8' mesh bed trailer with mesh ramp. Because of the foot rest on the back I have to load it backwards. I added 2' x 10" runners for the tires because the mesh bed immediately began to sag under the cart weight. I also had to add additional 2" x 10" on the forward 4' so the footrest clears the angle iron railing. Also the footrest hits the mesh ramp when I load it backwards. I had to make some 6" blocks to go under the ramp and some 4' wooden ramps so the foot rest won't hit.
I picked this trailer up cheap but if I had to do it over again I would just pony up for a new 5' x 10' with a wooden bed. Also, regarding tires, the bigger the better. Make sure that you get at least 13" tires. My trailer originally sold new at Tractor Supply Company. One nice thing about this size is it stores easier than a larger trailer. The trailer tongue is a single 2"x 3" tube (not an "A" frame) and unbolts if you want to store it in a small area. |
