I talked to the seller and got clarification that these only consume 10 watts of power per bulb but their lumens output is equivalent to an 80 watt halogen bulb. |

Re: Anyone use this style of LED lights?
That is good news, 10 watts each, can't wait to see what they look like.

Re: Anyone use this style of LED lights?
Got the bulbs last night, super quality, & strongly built. Because this bulbs were not meant for an 889 housing I did have to modify the light housing with a dremel to get the bulbs to go in (bulbs have a bigger girth than the 889s) and then allow the tabs to latch security. After a little trial and error they fit really well. Way brighter than the stock 889s bulbs and most importantly no dark spots. They are dimmer than the ones on my EZGO but I expected that as they are not even the same make or design.
There is absolutely NO heat from these bulbs, after driving for 20 minutes the lenses and housing were cool to touch. In fact now that I have LED both front and rear, I am going to pull them off of the reducer and put them across two batteries for a bit more voltage to see how they perform, I am not worried about amp draw at all. Since the housing is now modified and I can't use the 889 style bulbs I am going to give the xenon 889s to my buddy who has the same setup running across 16v and will compare. The best things: I can now see safe to drive, the connection is a direct fit with my harness, and ZERO heat and I do mean zero! |
