Hi. My names Chuck and I'm a yamaholic. Have a '80 G1. Got it a couple of years ago and have had a blast with it. Finding a lot of great info on the forum. Previous owner did his own lift to it. I put the little LED headlights on it and the blue and red rollers. (hehe) Party buggy.

1982 G1. Cart has no reverse. Starter runs when key is in reverse position but does not create spark (im guessing) since forward is working fine. I did the cdi fix found on this site but the same thing is happening. Any suggestions on what to do next?

Hello everyone joined the g1 community last year when I bought my first cart an 83 g1 with a 500cc artic cat motor on it picked it up for $400 body is rough and motor was hacked on there but was fun little toy for the summer working on a complete overhaul on it now built a 6.5" lift for it stretched it 34" making it a 6 seater removed the 500 and replacing it with a big block for more toque also not a 2 stroke fan need to find a rear end with reverse now and then I can move forward with that one. While looking for parts for mine Monday I ran across a 84 G1 for $200 went and picked it up had to redo all the wiring but that was easy thanks to all the great info on this site and the great people providing it got it all wired up and fresh gas and it started right up and best part it even came with the factory top this is the wifes toy since she never says anything about my projects speaking of projects maybe its about time to finish that 3 year bathroom remodel

Hey everyone! I just picked up a G1 last week for use at my seasonal camping site. Will post pictures soon. It had a few things done like new seats front and rear along with paint and some new rubber right before I bought it. I have plans to put a roof on it and hopefully a windshield. Any idea where i should start looking? Not having much luck on cart part sites.

Still plenty left to do but progress. It has graduated to the garage! Got to have a better steering wheel or just use a pair of vise grips.

I stayed home from the beach this weekend to work on my g1. Hope to replace fuel lines, new tire install, just received new steering wheel yesterday I went with a grant from Amazon for $38.00. I hope to get a lot done but we will see how it goes.

Not up to par on steering wheels but did you have to use an adapter to use the Grant steering wheel? Will check those out. BTW meangreen was looking through forum last night and seen a closeup pic of the paint on your cart. Very nice!
