Default 85 Marathon Seat Brackets

My cart has the backrest seat brakets that also attaches to the basket and the club holders. Does some someone make brackets just for the seat backs? Or should I just chop off the basket and club holder?

I'm debating chopping the backs (82) on my project cart and custom fabbing something that looks decent in there to tie them together. I'm not putting the basket on the project cart cause the fuel tank door is right below there, plus I don't plan on using the basket or bag strap anyhow.

I cut the brackets on my 93 just past the basket mounting bolts. That way I can have the basket. I cut the ones on my 89 flush, and always wished I had the basket.

Baskets are super handy, I use them all the time on my other carts, but on my project cart where the access panel contains the fuel door, it'd be a real PITA to have the basket - it would be in the way of filling the fuel tank from a can. I do like the tank being mounted over the rear axle with the door there though, so I guess it's an even trade off.

Sounds like a good trade-off.

I just decided to chop the basket and club holder bracket off. Much easier and more cost effective.
