That's true on tires!!

4 digit code on tires. 1st 2 numbers or the week manufactured 2nd 2 numbers or the year.

4316 would be 43 week of 2016

Always check before the are mounted. you would be surprised how many tires lay in a warehouse, some times for years before they are sold!!

There is a date code on most everything we buy, but its coded so we don't know how old it is.

I must say I just replaced the battery in my F150 from Advanced, it was in my truck 6 1/2 years.

This battery deal, They already gave you 38% off the list, and now offering you 50% back from sale price! Means you would get 70% off the retail price!!
I think that's a great deal anyone would accept. I think Advanced treated you very fair!

You just want all your money back since you totaled out your cart! **** happens, Take your hit like a man!!

To add to what has already been said, another lesson, "Don't buy golf cart batteries from an auto parts store" Chances are if you had purchased them from a golf cart dealer they would have been fresh batteries, and given what happened they could possibly have sold them for you to another customer and gotten more of your money back. Given the circumstances, take what they offered, and sell the batteries on Craigslist , someone will buy them. Hope your wife recovered well !

I don't think I would expect any refund at all.

If I understand this correctly, they were in fine working order for the, although short, time of use. There was zero indication of a faulty product. And as CTD stated, the built-on date is different from the filled-on date. At least that's the way the battery distributors do it here.

I also hope your wife is OK after the crash.

But IMO, ANY refund offered should be acceptable. Count it as a quick little learning lesson, and let it go.

Not to be partial, but my brother works at an Advance. I recommend them to everyone I can. Great rewards program, and they can source some pretty obscure stuff.

so you used something for 10 months, then want to return it for full refund? If they had charge you full price you would have a leg to stand on. Glad i dont work retail.

I don't think this thread is going to quite go viral as the OP intended...

I gotta wonder about this....
OP had ONE POST at 10:00 am on July 7th.
That was also his last activity on the forum.
He joined, made this goofy post, then went away and hasn't been back.
