EZGO RXV gas engine noise

Hey everyone,

I have a 2008 RXV with a Kawasaki engine in it. I just moved from Georgia, very sandy soil, back to Texas and I am trying to get my cart running well again. I just replaced the crankcase gasket due to leaking and noticed that when I get off the gas there is a almost metal on metal noise coming from the engine. I thought it was my driven clutch so I took the drive belt off but still have the same noise. I have a video that I'm going to try to post that you can hear the noise. In trying to figure this out I notice the crank shaft moves back and forth a little when I had the clutches off. I don't know enough about these to know if that is normal or my problem, shims?
