Default EZGO Gas pedal clicks but wont go

2010 EZGO RXV. When you press the gas pedal the solenoid clicks but cart won't go in fwd or reverse. Reverse sound still works when you switch to reverse. Checked solenoid to battery 12.5v. checked other large post with pedal pressed 12.5v. Checked large post to large post with no wires connected on ohms and get 0

If you have 12.5 volts at the starter/gen terminal (when pedal is pressed) I would suspect the starter/gen.

Forgot to mention this problem occurred after driving golf cart 100 ft then it stopped and would not go anymore.

On testing the wire at starter generator... There is a wire that goes from solenoid to starter/generator. At starter/generator power is 12.5 with gas pedal pushed. There is another big wire that goes from one side of starter/generator with 12.5 when gas pedal is pushed. Is this where you was referencing doing the test at?

Yep the big wire, try turning the starter a little by hand then try starting again.

It is going to be the starter/generator. When you press gas and give the clutch a spin it starts working. Now the question is whether I should buy kit or replace unit. Thanks for your help.

Never had one apart but you can replace the brushes in them,
I have heard not so good stories about aftermarket ones.

Agree with StoveBolt. Check the brushes first, and if it needs more than that, send it out to be rebuilt. My local NAPA can process them for rebuidling, so you might have similar luck with a shop near you.

Thanks BurntClutch and StoveBolt. Checked with mine and they charge 80. Kit alone costs 47so I’m just going to pay them.
