Default Off-road cart, what's the best to start with?

I have an opportunity to buy a 2005, or 07 to 13 carts.. i would like one that's the best off-road and i read that the g22 carts have available posi so should i stick with them? Will i be missing out on anything not getting a g29?
I would also like to do 25mph if possible.
Thanks

I'd say it all depends on your budget, and your personal definition of "off road".

Just poking around on dirt roads, farm use, etc is "off road" this is what I use my carts for, but I don't really consider it "off road".

Most here, would consider "off road" as woods, trails, blazing your own trails, etc. IF this is also your definition of "off road" for the money, I think you'd be better off finding something older, G9 or G16 with a blown up motor for cheap. Then swap in a VC 23hp big block, long travel suspension, etc. You'll still be into it for some coin, but for "off road" it would be much more capable and better bang for your buck. I wouldn't want to take a $4k starting price cart, modify it (suspension, wheels, etc) and be into it for 7-8k... then go beat it up in the woods.

Depending on your location, Andy4639 has a REAL nice "off road worthy" cart already built in the for sale section here, for a steal of a price. click here-----> http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/golf-...bb-v-twin.html

I guess it would be considered light off road.. I currently have a 2wd 4 wheeler that has no issues .. looking for something similar .. im really just hung up on the posi or no posi options.. but i guess i could always swap axles ? later on a newer model if it wasnt enough for me

Posi kits are available for the the G16 and G22. Contact Plowmans. You can't go wrong with either one of those carts...
