Default UMax G22? Med Duty starting issue help

Hello all,
My names Rob and I’m from SoCal. I bought my utility cart about 2 years ago. I think it’s a 2006. I am a total noob with mechanical things so I’m asking for your help and/or ideas on why my cart wants to kick over and start sometimes and other times it just makes a quiet “click” noise and won’t start. It’s totally random. I was going to call my local shop and ask them to come pick it up and repair whatever is wrong but then I remembered this forum. If anyone can kindly chime in and give me an idea on what could be wrong I might be able to order a part(s) and attempt to fix it myself. Id sure appreciate any input from some of you who are pros with these things. Thanks in advance!

Sounds lovely ie a loose and/dirty battery cable. I’d remove and clean both cables , then make sur3 they’re tight.

Battery cables are tight and clean. I think it’s the starter because when I manually rotate the pully wheel it seems to start most every time. Maybe bad brushes? My suspicion is that the starter needs to be rebuilt? Maybe some of the brushes are worn. Thoughts?

Sounds like brushes. They can be inspected under the rubber plug...

“The rubber plug”? Cool I’ll check it out. Got a quote for $280 to come out and rebuild it. Is that crazy$?

Odd, three brushes show a lot of meat in front of their wear bar, while one is totally gone. Usually its an opposed pair, or all 4 worn out.
