The alltrax is smart enough to shut down if the motor catastrophically fails... very high likelyhood of not killing controller for motor failure with alltrax. I have accidentally installed alltrax controller in "dead short" configuration, the motor controller said "hell no, I'm just not doing that", controller was fine.
