G5, Do I need to use a Deep Cycle battery?
Hi, recently purchased a G5 from the original owner. The group 27 deep cycle battery is now bad but it lasted 10 YEARS!
The specs for the battery say a group 24 and no mention of being deep cycle. Should I go for the deep cycle battery anyway? Not sure if it's better in this application. I'll probably sell or trade the cart in the next 12 months. BTW, I can only find deep cycle 12 volts in group 27 around here... Scott |

Re: G5, Do I need to use a Deep Cycle battery?
Nope. Regular group 24 car battery is fine. No advantage to deep cycle.

Re: G5, Do I need to use a Deep Cycle battery?
Well, there might be an advantage if you wanted to run a stereo, or other accessories for longer periods of time while not actually driving. Otherwise, no real benefit.
