Default 82 Yamaha g1 reed repair

got a 82 Yamaha g1 for my daughters to fix so they can rid around. after being on this site for a bit i have learned this wasn't the best choice of cart lol. iv been searching the Internet for a reed plate cause this one on it will not fully close which i read could be a reason its not wanting to stay running. dose any one know of a place to buy a new one or to get around this problem by deleting it or a different cart style one to put in place. thanks and sorry if this has all ready been talked about in another thread and i didn't see it.

Call Plowman's Carts, they are a site sponsor and a Yamaha specialist. Good people up there. If they don't have it, Don will have an answer on what to do. He's been messing around with Yamaha carts for forever, and knows the G1 well.

An old Yamaha mechanics trick if the reeds aren't closed tight. Remove the 2 screws, take the reed and gently bend it (were it's mounted with the screws). Good as new!
