Re: How do you secure your cart
On a Gasser, cut the wire going to the gas-pedal switch.Run a 2-wire to a switch hidden somewhere(one wire from pedal-switch to new switch, one back down to pedal).Stick it somewhere easy but not noticeable in the engine area.Always tie up wiring and make it look like it belongs there, then if you have a keen-eyed thief they won't notice the wires.

Re: How do you secure your cart
Well they would have to make it by the dogs that stay on High alert. Then after the dogs let me know your there then I'd probly us the 12ga to remind you every time you look at were your arm use to be you shouldn't steel. But if your lucky enough to get the cart of of the garage after all it took to get there then well your one lucky feller n I'm glad I got insurance , and guess I'll get a few more dogs

Re: How do you secure your cart
Thanks everyone. Threatening violence, or buying a dog is not going to work for me. But, the extra switch and a cable might be the route to go.

Re: How do you secure your cart
If they can get past Diabolo they can have them, I even leave the keys in them to give them a sporting chance
So far no takers!!!! Aussie Workhorse |

Re: How do you secure your cart
Monkey1 had some great tricks. I think one of them was to put a old style cigerette lighter in the dash when you push it in, it completes the circuit and you can start the cart.
The other one was a magnetic switch in the cup holder, a can/bottle koozie with a magnet in the bottom of it, when you use that specific koozie in the correct cup holder it completes the circuit and you can start the cart. Mine has a unquie key from a bike ignition, so I dont worry about anyone driving off with it. |
