Oil in PCV tube going in Airbox?
I have a 1996 4 stroke, just tuned up, plugs, oil, gapped valves, etc. this cart is jacked up so the engine is on an angle, so oil is lower on dip stick. oil keeps pooling in air box. is their a PCV Valve on this nit, or is my oil level simply too full and blows up the vent when I climb hills. also I can check compression, what should it be?
thanks |

sounds too full if it does it uphill. I have mine filled to the low mark. Did the same thing you did

Re: Oil in PCV tube going in Airbox?
the capacity is exactly 1.5qts - the best way to stop that oil from pooling is to pull the filter and leave it all sit open overnight, then replace the filter, add exactly 1.5qts, run the cart for about 15min, wait about another 10 for everything to settle, then mark the dipstick at the new oil level. A hassle, yeah - but if it solves the problem it's worth doing.
