Re: F/R Cable not working to change gears
Same with my shifter , was assuming it was play of the cable causing the stiffness? Will look more closely when I can get down to where the cart is in 2 weeks.

Re: F/R Cable not working to change gears
Was able to work on it this last week. Doesn't seem that I can make any adjustment that will allow it to shift into forward and reverse (only one or the other). Wondering if there is something internal to the rear end that gets stuck? As I can push on the lever at the axle and it can be moved with force into the gear.

Re: F/R Cable not working to change gears
going to one on Friday same deal, only reverse, no forward/ Majority of the time its just a cable adjustment. You have a cable adjustment at the rear of the cable, you have an adjustment at the front of the cable, the pushpull springs at the end of the cable by the trans, that tension needs to be right, and you have an adjustment at the F/R switch where the cable snaps onto the ball. I have seen where the rear bracket is bent up or down, make sure the shift cable is in a straight line pushing of pulling straight.

Re: F/R Cable not working to change gears
Same problem on a cart I am working on. The shaft with the spring on it will not slide forward when shifting to reverse. It is binding on the side of the differential. Would a new part fix this?

Re: F/R Cable not working to change gears
Where can this differential shifter be bought? I'm not having any luck finding it.
