92 marathon just don't go
Need some ideas of how to fix my cart. When you start off cold it's very sluggish. After maybe a mile it starts to speed up but just doesn' run like it use too. I have a hill on my driveway that it use to climb with no problem, now it can't even make it halfway up. I've adjusted the valves replaced carb installed new air filter and have even adjusted the governor as far as it will go but just not much speed or torque. Could anyone come up with some ideas to help bring this cart back to it's old glory days. PLEASE!!!!!!

Re: 92 marathon just don't go
You've done the basics I'd throw a compression gauge on it and see where it's at also what do the plugs look like

kinda sounds like the symptoms my marathon had.....I thought motor was was in bad shape.....put a new belt on it and it ran like a new cart.......amazed at what a little wear on the belt made on performance.....

What should compression read on a 295cc robin. I guess it wouldn"t hurt to put a new drive belt on it i've replaced pretty much everything else except the whole engine itself. Knock on wood!!!

Does anyone know the part # for a 92 marathon drive belt? And are these gboost super duty drivebelts worth the extra money

Very happy with my severe duty gboost belt tossed it on this spring and have 5-6 tanks of fuel through my cart and is showing minimal to no wear
