To compensate for the increased airflow with a K&N type filter, you will have to re-jet the carb, or drill the existing jets. That could be a hit or miss deal.

I have done 2 G14 's with the clone K&N's and it worked fine and added some power without rejetting. A slight adjustment of the idle mixture screw was all that was needed. Both carts were 1995's. You just need to be aware that the filtering of debris is not up to the stock systems standard.

When I switched to the VC 460 in my G14 I sold almost every part of the engine but since my carb was old I didn't sell it or the K&N clone filter on it. The old couple on the island with a G14 asked me to look at it. The filters in side the air cleaner housing were beyond description. So I donated my K&N clone filter adjusted the carb slightly and took it for a spin. The cart ran flawlessly. I had them drive it thereafter. They came back and stated the cart hasn't ever ran this good since we bought it some years ago. They drove it the whole year up to this point that way and give me a BIG thumbs up when we see each other out riding. I can't speak for all G14's but I can for mine and theirs. Also can't say if the earlier G models would respond the same.
