99 gas club car, backfires
shadowman, need your help again. every time i slow down and do not come to complete stop, it backfires. whatcha think it is this time. new plug & rpm limiter solve the other problem, runs like a charrm now.

what about me i have a 96 starts hard and back fires on decel. called dealership he said that cleaning carb prob wouldnt help any and that it was prob a rev limiter or coil pack something ignition he said. i dont know where to start it is about ready to go for sale tired of messing with it

a lot of times its just the butterfly not closing at the same time you let off throttle but every case can be different......put cart in maintence mode and take rubber tube off carb and watch butterfly as your pressing gas when cable quits moving butterfly should be closed so check that and if needed adjust cable.........................................sorr y i didn,t send a pm to everyone but was kinda in a hurry as i am again today........my honey do list has grown to a legel pad size and the wife is isn,t climbing all over me if you get my drift.........thank god shes not home right now............................
