About all I can add to this thread is the year of manufacture. Cushman vehicles dated their vehicles by including the year immediately following the dash, so the cart shown in the pictures was manufactured in 1989.
The design of the power train in your vehicle, as well as the one in these pictures, is much like was used in golf carts that were made by Cushman in the 1980's, so information about these will be a close match and may be of help. These carts were very under powered. I would go with the biggest engine that would fit. I own a 1987 Cushman Truckster which has a more conventional automotive type power train with a drive shaft between the transmission and the differential. My engine is an OMC 22 hp two cylinder, and it is also grossly under powered and breaking down frequently. I would like to find a much larger hp engine for it, but the engine is under the seat, so most conversions that I've seen require major modifications to install in the space. Charley |
