Default 89 Workhorse with Honda no reverse

Hello,
New to the forum, love all the information available. I just bought an 89 workhorse that appears to have had a Honda motor installed, replacing the 2 stroke. I am assuming this from what I have read on this forum and the fact that is does not have a reverse. Am I on the right track? What options do I have for reverse? Should I pull the Honda and go back to an original motor? Lots of questions! Thanks for the help.

you have to go back to an original motor, or change the rear end in the cart with a 94 and up gas rear

Welcome to BGW Kevin, that's about the only two options you have.
I would opt for a newer style rear.

How's Ronald?

Thanks for the info. The Honda seems to run strong so I may leave that alone and look for a later rear axle. I might go this route and look for a locking differential at the same time. Is this possible? Thanks again.
