Default Big tires = how much more speed?

I am gong from stock tires to a lift with 22" tires on my Gas EZGO. Do any of you know how many MPH I can expect from the larger tires?

there are a few things that will change that answer. its hard to say for sure. have you adjusted the gov. changed gears and what engine do you have. i have the 350 in mine and i have adjusted the gov. mine runs around 23-25mph. im also running 23" tires with a 28deg clutch.

I have the smaller 295. I just adjusted the govenor and the valves last week. Seems to be faster but not much faster then my electric cart. I am thinking about gears and have been trying to read up on them in the different threads. Do you have any recommendations?

go with the 22inch tires first... the motor can handle that but not that and gears. The speed you gain the more torque you loose.... assuming the motor stays the same.

Put the 22' tires on last night and wow what a different in top end The low end was negatively affected and the belt slipped a couple of times Based on comments on a shorter drive belt I have ordered a belt 1" shorter and will install it tomorrow night to help with the low end issue.
