i,m not sure about that engine but they do still sell a complete rebuild kit for your engine its about 400 or 450 or so..............i have never heard of a just drop in engine for that cart..........seems you always need a retrofit kit which is another 400 dollars if you need it................................the rebuild kit comes with everything, crankshaft, camshaft, balance shaft, valve,s piston/rings bearings gaskets......everything you need is there..........i have used a few of them and have had no problems or issues with them....................

I guess my opinion is if your going to spend that much, why not big block it for $500 more. It's well worth the difference. Check out the upgrades available at www.cartpartsplus.com. They truly are almost drop in.

Thanks for the replies. If I rebuild I still have no filter, pres lub, valve in head & 8hp. The drop in is 11hp ,up to date so to speak etc. I'm on 40 acres/w pecan orchard & an OLD man so more hp is not needed. Thanks all,ess

An upgrade from the old flathead of any size is definitely worth pursuing.
