Default 2006 ds club car belt squeal

I have had this cart for a year. Lately, usually when engine is cold or starting on a slope, there is a squealing sound---and then it goes. Usually after the engine is warmed up the problem is less. I'm not sure what the problem is. Maybe the starter generator belt needs to be tightened. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be? Thank you

Yes this would be your starter belt slipping, how you fix this problem is simple...under the starter is a long bracket with a bolt holding the starter in place for tension...loosen that bolt up as well as the two larger bolts holding the starter in place, I will usually just use a crow bar under the starter to lift it and put tension on the belt until tight, then tighten down the larger blots while still putting pressure on the crow bar...then you can tighten the bracket bolt afterwaords as the starter wont go anywhere once the two large are tightened...
