Question about hydraulic brakes
Once you get them bled out should the peddle feel squishy? Seems like I bled them forever I just dont think they are right. Also they seem to only really engage when the peddle is 3/4 of the way down

Re: Question about hydraulic brakes
You are still compressing air that is trapped in the lines. Keep bleeding them. These hydraulic cart brakes are well known for a lengthy bleeding process.

Re: Question about hydraulic brakes
How are you bleeding them? Are you using the brake pedal for pumping or do you have a hand pump and pumping oil through the bleed port on the caliper? The hand pump is usually quicker and easier.

I don't have the hand pump so I am doing it the old fashion way with the brake pedal |

Re: Question about hydraulic brakes
This is one of my kits. Like gorno said they are a pain to bleed but as I understand it all of the cart brakes are. Def sounds like air in the line or in the master cylinder. Keep pumping that pedal baby!
keep the reservoir cap off and don't let it run out. Ask Andy if they are hard to bleed lol |

Re: Question about hydraulic brakes
Sometimes I find it works better ,to not pump it . Open a valve push pedal down close valve release pedal.and so on. And jack up that rear end get that air flowing to the back end.
I'm sure you could borrow an evacuator from a local parts store. They work great. |
