new rear end springs
Looking for a little more ground clearance i upgraded my wheels and tire on a 95 TXT. I have the clearance i wanted, but today when letting the wife drive (i was on the back first time since adding the backseat) i could hear the cart actually hitting the rear axl a time or two. i guess this means i need HD leaf springs in the back???
Any recomendations???? I love the way it drives right now, very smooth and dont want a rough ride. |

Re: new rear end springs
Go with a 3 leaf rear, not the four leaf, it should give you what you are looking for.

Re: new rear end springs
My local dealer wants $40 to install these, how important is an impact driver to install these?

Re: new rear end springs
Yep, but it often ends up with over-torqued fasteners, which weakens them.

Re: new rear end springs
they make a 12v impact. used to have a 1/2" drive one. then you would be set. $40 is not a bad deal for an install. just insist that the bolts not be tightened with an impact. the bolts should just be snug. if they are too tite you will lose flex.
