1995 Marathon, Help from the chassis up!
I just stripped down a 1995 XI500 (which is actually an industrial model but I was told that it is essentially a Marathon body with a bed on it by the EZ-GO company) to the chassis. I was hoping to reuse existing parts but found under the rubber trim that there was nothing but rust! I need just about every replacement part from the chassis up! I need body panels, dash panels, seats, everything... now I am finding it very difficult to find the parts at all.
My idea was to put on a more updated style fiberglass body... is this even possible? I got into this thinking EZ-GO bodies were universal but have learned very quickly that they are not. Has anyone had a similar situation? Can anyone help me get some direction? Thanks... |

Re: 1995 Marathon, Help from the chassis up!
well what do you have into it? might be better to part it out and start over with a more common cart?
Or, you can pick up a TXT plastic body for pretty cheap if you look around and you may need to do some fab work to make it all fit. Post some pics of what you have and someone probably has done this already. good Luck. |
