Yea, I would say thats alot of weight to be pulling. EMP can rework your motor for more torque. You could bump the power up to 48 volts and gain some torque.

Very nice rig man. Great idea. Wouldnt mind having that in front of my fire truck in parades. Roady89 had the right idea. Beef up the motor and controller, upgrade to 48 volt and definatly change the wires to 4 gauge and you should make it. Either that or tell the kids it really fun to push. Looks good though, for sure.

I am new to the electric golf cart world. Is there a spicific motor I should buy?I believe DD makes a 5 HP and GE makes a 8HP called the beast. But I am told that the DD motor is better but don't understand why the 8Hp would not be better than the 5 also running a 400 amp controller. Is there a reason or just a sales pitch thanks

There's no reason why you have to buy a new motor unless you've already grenaded your current motor.

As advised, check out this link and they will design your motor for your application and do it for less bucks than a new motor.

Definitely your call tho'.

Good luck.

hey, I have a 775 airport truck. Three solenoid resistor drive system. I'm looking for wiring diagram. ezgo 1987, 2hp GE motor A1 A2 S1 S2 connection setup. I switched to 4 gauge wire, put 600 amp solenoids on it, and now I'm having problems making it run right. If some buddy can help you would rock because this would be my new fire wood delivery truck on the community I live on. EV is the future and the future is now thanks, joey.

any luck on this project?? Working on a 93 XI 875 truck -it has a GE 5HP motor in stock trim. Has a Curtis cab with wiper and doors.3000 lb capacity!!! Not yet running - can't find problem - using factory manual trouble shooting manual - no luck - think problem may be throttle delay circuit that prevents vehicle from starting with throttle depressed so it won't bolt??
