Default Club Car Precedent Iq or Excel

Can anyone help me to determine if my Precedent 08 is an IQ,Excel1,Excel2.
My serial# is PQ0802.
Im looking for a controller upgrade, preferably a Curtis 500 amp & Solenoid Combo that will run well. I heard Alltrax controllers have Jerky throttle motions & are complicated to get running right.
I was stumped when Scotty B said its an Excel but I think he may be mistaken.
Please help,

Any vehicle with a serial number prefix of AQ, CE, FD, HD, PE, or PQ the vehicle is equipped with the IQ system. Excel vehicles have serial number prefixes of PH, PJ or PD.

Talk to these folks http://fsip.biz/NewGolfCurtis.html they sell Curtis controllers; they are who I plan on buying a 500 amp controller from for my Excel cart.....

The IQ is black and the excel is grey, but seems like you do indeed have the IQ.

I had the alltrax and was jerky, swapped for Curtis works great. You can adjust the altrax and smooth it out but you have to get into the program both controllers are good imo.

Scooterman, did you go with the 1268-5501 for your precedent?
Thats what they are directing me towards. It seems to be the fit.
I do have the Black stock controller

Yup it is the 1268 conversion kit, came with and relay, I think that is for when your on a hill and it starts to roll back, it will beep and the motor will show it down.

You will need a high torque motor for that also.
