Not Happy
Ok so I just finished up my 2002 cc ds. 6" spindle lift, 22x11x10 tires nice stainless around new steering wheel etc. Here is the problem : Installed new batteries and cables, wired correctly but so Much slower. When I removed old batteries and cables will this affect the brain of unit ? Is was pertty fast when it was stock ! There is nothing else that I did . All batteries have just been checked and are all above 8 volt and reading across is 48.6 so I threw it on charge. I also loosened brake cables to make sure they weren't to tight because I didn't put a extender on for cable brackets. I will try again when charger kicks off but I don't think it is the batteries...
Anyone have any ideas on what could have happened ? Help Please ! |

Re: Not Happy
Interstate ! Batteries have been sitting for a few weeks so maybe they need to be juiced up some. Shouldn't total charge be more then 48.6 ?

Re: Not Happy
That's in between 50% and 60% charged. Yes that is extremely low. That's the point you don't want to go below, typically 48 volts is time to recharge the batteries, you don't want to go below 50% charge. But I'm wonder what speed code you had programed into the controller. The controller may have lost it's speed code. I have herd of controllers losing it's programed code.

Re: Not Happy
Ok thank you I have charging now. When you first hit accelerate it moves quick and then goes slow. I am hoping that's all it is. It may have been sitting for 3 weeks since it has been charged. Charger pinned and now at 11. Is this normal to need a charge after 3 weeks of sitting ?

Re: Not Happy
I am not sure of speed code but it was pretty quick before. What do they charge to check and program that if I lost it ?

Re: Not Happy
Thanks for the info. How fast does hour cart go ? I have a 6" spindle lift with the same tires as you and the all chrome vampire rims which looks awesome.
