Re: 95 ds clicks but won't move?
Yes, this diagram seems to match my cart. But would that explain why I am not getting the 0-5k ohms at the controller wires?

Re: 95 ds clicks but won't move?
Can you disconnect the black and the white wires right at the MultiStep Vglide and measure the resistance there?

Measured at the black and white wires on the v-glide (opposite side of the wiper arm) and went from 0 ohms at solenoid click to 8k ohms at full throttle.

Re: 95 ds clicks but won't move?
Thanks for the help Sergio but, why is the reading different at the V glide than at the control?

Re: 95 ds clicks but won't move?
I suspect something is not wired correctly, the readings posted with the half-speed micro switch on and off are not consistent with how the circuit should behave.
I assume you had everything disconnected from the black and from the white wires when you took the readings, but they look too high. Did you take the readings with the multimeter set to the 20k ohm scale? The higher the scale the lesser the accuracy of the readings. If the 8k reading was taken with the meter set to 20k, you may want to clean all of the contacts in the V-Glide. The main issue is that you have a 2 wire MultiStep and a controller set for 3 wire according to the model number posted. I think it would be best to re-wire the V-Glide for 3 wire setup and run 3 new wires to the controller. Leave off the half-speed microswitch and tape off all the old wires. The picture attached is how the 3-wire MultiStep V-Glide should look like, as you can see, You are missing wire #25, attached to the 9th post. The connections should be as follow: Wiper Arm - Post #1 - goes to Controller pin # 3 Low side - Post #3 (wire #24) - goes to Controller B- High Side - Post #9 (wire #25) - goes to Controller pin # 2 |

Re: 95 ds clicks but won't move?
We have wheel spin! Sergio, your re-wiring was the key. Thanks. However, when in forward, it looks like the wheels rotate in reverse (on the jack stands at least). Can I switch some of the leads going into the motor to correct this?

Re: 95 ds clicks but won't move?
That is great news!
As long as the wheels spin in the opposite direction when you flip the FNR lever, then all you need to do is swap the "S1" with the "S2" connections on the motor. Just make sure you use 2 wrenches so the posts on the motor don't spin. |
