how long and how often do i charge battery

just bought a used electric club car for golf. as far as charging goes, do i just keep it plugged in when not in use? I know this is a very novice question, but havent' been able to get a straight answer as of yet.

welcome, once you put charger on always let it charge till its done.....you don,t want to run batteries much lower than 50% and always keep water 1/8 inch over lead plates ( distilled water only ) keep cable ends clean and tight....if your charger is an automatic ( no timer knob ) it will shut off when its done and it won,t hurt if its plugged in unless you get a power spike or lightning .....................and remember its not uncommon if its charging 10 hours or better as long as nothing is hot to the touch and water isn,t boiling out of batteries.....a small bitty amount of water is ok but if tops of batteries get all wet than stop ..................................

Recharge after each use of 15 to 20 minutes.
Never leave the batteries to sit in a state of discharge.
Recharge after on month of no use.

Your CC charger has an automatic shut off. Let it run until it stops then unplug until needed again.
