Back your press off make sure you can contain the heilex so when it comes free the spring pressure doesn't let it fly across the room or hit YOU in the face. Use PB Blaster and soak the splines for a bit then hit the heilex with a hammer to free it up. A tip may be to use 2 or 3 heavy nylon zip ties (loose) to contain the heilex. Good Luck !!!

Did you make your own clutch puller or buy one? I'm looking to see what size threaded rod I need to get to make one. I'm assuming that I can use my drill press as a press to disassemble.

I used 1/2 all thread rod with nuts and washers with a fabricated cross piece made from 1" square tube to disassemble and assemble the clutch.
