Kawasaki Mule engine swaps?

Anyone here done any?

We have a Kawa' Mule, i think its the 3010 model, 4x4, Kawa' motor~ reliable as can be AND SLOWER THAN MOLASSES.

Wondered if anyone had a Mule swap thread.

There was one guy in here that put the harbor freight twin in one and was happy with it.

I may know soon about swaps in a Mule. I just purchased an 88 Mule 1000. The engine will probably be fine with a little carb work but I won't know until I get it home in a couple weeks or so.

The Mule has 6800 miles on it but was running fine before setting all winter. So I have high hopes.

If not, I'll be installing an 18hp Briggs Vanguard I have setting here looking for a project. I think I'll like it especially with the locking rear differential and independent rear suspension.

I work for a nursery and have owned and rebuilt about 15 of them. the engine is not going to help a lot as the speed is controlled by the trans. you can mod it some. but to much and you can blow up the trans.
