Default Yamaha G9 air box question

I have the stock air box on my g9 and there is a hose inside that comes from the front of the box. What is that for? And if I put an cone filter do I still need to be able to connect the valve cover hose to the aftermarket filter? Thanks

Default Re: Yamaha G9 air box question

The valve cover hose is a vent, run a hose from the cover down pointed to the ground. It would be normal to see a dip every now and then.
