Starter hesitation.
I hit the pedal, sometimes it clicks, sometimes the starter is slow to rollover and start cranking the motor... Maybe needs starter rebuild or just a fresh battery?

Re: Starter hesitation.
Hook up a battery charger on medium setting and see what happens. If it cranks over good, you may have a weak battery, especially if it is charging once running.Pull the batt. and take it to get tested at an auto-parts store. Also check your cable-connections.A bad ground or positive connection will drive you nuts.Hope this helps.

Re: Starter hesitation.
First check to see that the belt is tight. Then 12+ volts at battery, and more than 11 (at battery)(I think) when cranking starter. It may be time to put brushes in starter!
Also check all battery connections for tight and clean! |

Well, I'm thinking its the starter... It "click, click, clicks" until i use my foot to push the cart an inch or two... Then, it fires up and takes off! Can my local starter/alternator shop rebuild it?

Re: Starter hesitation.
Tonka, I'm serious, starters are not hard, just watch how it comes apart! And golf cart starters are very basic.
