Default Front tire rubbing issue

I have my 96 EZGO TXT licensed now in CA. I added 4 wheel disk brakes with 1" spacers, 10" rims and stayed with 18.5 D.O.T. tires. I also redid the roof support with 1 1/4 tubing. It had a rear utility box with HD springs but the front are just stock. I weigh in at around 300# and have 8 6V batteries. End result is that the front tires will rub the body sometimes on uneven ground or over bumps. The shocks are old and do not seem to do much. If I step quickly on one side it sinks all the way down.

I am thinking that the shocks need replaced anyway so I could do HD springs with stock shocks or go with a coil over shock.

Input?

HD springs in front solved the issue for me. It only rubs very rarely now on a certain trail at camp. If I don't take that trail, it don't rub at all.

Does it ride too rough? I have read that some think it is too hard a ride. Though at 6'3" and 300# and my wife sitting next to me may be the weight it needs for heavier springs?

When I am on the cart alone, it rides like a buckboard. Load it up with four adults, feels like a Cadillac.
