ezgo 350 rebuild
I am in texas is there anyone who can rebuild and get a little more out of a 350 around here (Houston). If not who do i send the engine to?

I have done a complete rebuild on both 295-350 but I have not made any mods for more ponies, stock with the right clutching and you will get all you could want out of it...unless your into a big block.... personally the more you mess with it the more chances you have for failure

I just re-installed a 350 into my '02 Workhorse a couple of weeks back. It has plenty of power and climbs some pretty steep North Georgia hills. I had my machine shop guy bore it 0.25 mm due to some slop in the piston fit. I installed new valves and springs, pistons, rings, seals and gaskets. The whole kit was around $300 plus another $150 in machine work.
J & M Golf Carts in Augusta builds a ton of Robin engines, but that's a long way off. As far as hot rodding it - well it's an original 11 hp or so. Not much you can do except increase the compression a little by shaving the head, and re-jettng the carb may buy another .75 hp. |
