Default G1 tires

I know in the G1 sticky there is good information about tire diameters with different lift kits installed. The Sticky says 20" tires with the 4" lift. It's a little confusing as Plowmans says 22" tires with their 4"or maybe it was 6" lift. Keep in mind here please that I'm dealing with a 64 year old memory.
I'd like to go with the 22" but what I need to know is what width tires can be used on the stock wheels? I've had the best luck on my garden tractors with narrower tires but it looks like 11" is whats available.
Thanks.

4"-lift for 20",6"-lift for 22"s.The G1 is a low cart, with small wheel-openings.You will need to buy offset-wheels(under $20 each),since the 22" tire sidewalls will rub, unless you get a narrow tire. Most use a 22"x11"-8",so an offset wheel is needed.I have 21"x10"-8" on my wifes G16,they are quite narrow, and the sidewalls are straight instead of bulged. That may help you if you want to stick with the stock wheels.Hope this helps.
