Default rear-end noise

Have a 1989 2-cycle EZGO with a very loud rearend. I'm told EZGO only made this rearend for two years and are VERY had to get parts for, any leads or replacement info would really help. I'm in Parker AZ. and a quite a ways from any golf car dealers, but UPS comes thru everyday so I'll be ckg this site daily for info. Thanks

Have you checked the oil in it ? You didn't say? Probably a bad bearing?

That doesn't sound right, if i'm thinking right about it they're the same as electric carts rears.

I pulled rear cover to ck, found pieces that looked like a roller bearing and badly worn gears. I decided to put back together ,added 90 weight lube and started looking for parts availablity before going further, maybe even a complete rearend, if parts were expensive or hard to get.. Thanks. Stan
