If it is a pulse type pump, check the vacuum lines for leaks and the crankcase seal. My buddies G1 has a bad crankcase seal and won't run either.

Your G2 should have 155 to 175 pounds of compression at wide open throttle. The fuel pump runs off crank case pressure, that is generated of of ring compression.

Did you check the filter, its at bottom of tank but huge so they don't clog very often. Note the pumps have a hard time priming if you don't have much gas in tank, best to fill it up if air in lines, you can pressurize the tank but be very careful you only use a very little bit of pressure to push the fuel out. Have you run it on the starter with the line off the carb to check flow?

Good deal. If you just ran out of fuel you can add it and usually it will start fairly soon. If you take a line off or the pump/etc it has a hard time priming, some carts will some will not. If the fuel level is up to the pump or higher it usually will no problem. IIRC yamaha says to fill the tank if you run out.
