Alltrax Controller, stock solinoid?
I have a G29 with new batteries, new cables, new alltrax 400 and new solinoid
All was well until began to intermittently fail. Put stock controller back on, no go. Put stock solinoid back on and issues seem to be resolved. It was the new heavy duty solinoid that failed after a couple months of operation. Can I put the alltrax back on with the stock solenoid for the time being? And then what do you recommend for a new solinoid to replace the failed new one? Thanks |

I would say if you keep your foot out of it then the stock solenoid will be alright. But that's just an opinion

Re: Alltrax Controller, stock solinoid?
What year cart? The earlier Drives actually came with a rather robust solenoid (225a continuous rating, which would cover 500a peak). if your solenoid has 2 large terminals on top, and a little step at the bottom with the small terminals, you have the heavy duty one.

Re: Alltrax Controller, stock solinoid?
Otherwise using less than 200a solenoid with a 400 a control or a 400a solenoid with a 500a controller will void the Alltrax controller warranty.

It’s a 2007 year cart. Two big terminals on top and two small terminals also on top

It's not the big Trombetta I described. Maybe the smaller Trombetta, or the White-rodgers.

It’s a white Rogers. What heavy duty one do you recommend I go with then to replace it. ?

Re: Alltrax Controller, stock solinoid?
That White Rodgers (larger round body, black, kinda square top) is rated at 200a continuous, should be ok for application if it's in good mechanical condition.
