Default Starts OK but

My cart starts and runs just fine. But after a couple of minutes of use. It develops a dead spot on the throttle. It will start and idle. But if you push down on the throttle. It dies. If I give it a little push as I press on the throttle. It will take off and run just fine. Until you stop and try to go again. I tried this on a small sloped hill. Press down and started. Gave it a little more and it took off.
So it's right at the point of moving that it dies?? I just did the HE mod. But it didn't change a thing. It did this before I did the mod.
Ideas greatly appreciated at this point.

Compression test?

Maybe try adjusting the valves first...

Valves are good at .004 cold. And I'll finally get my hands on my compression tester tomorrow. Couldn't find it. Kids had borrowed it.
